GUESS’ numerous collaborations with A$AP Rocky are more on the casual side and are suitable for those looking for a more relaxed take on the 90s trend. The collections are heavily denim based and make use of lighter colours to portray a laid back, back-to-school college vibe, whilst also successfully integrating subtle light stripes and big logos into the mix. The collections are not limited to just tops, something often common with limited edition pieces of clothing, they go as far as including unisex crewnecks, overalls, plenty of women’s skirts and even a watch. Perhaps the most sought-after item out of the whole collection, the GUESS striped T-shirt is in a league of its own. Its similarities to the successful line of original T-shirts probably explain why this is selling out so quick. RALPH LAUREN 1992 POLO STADIUM REVIVAL

Ingrained in the fashion world as perhaps one of the most remarkable Ralph Lauren collections ever created, the label is back in style with a limited-edition line that comes as a result of the massive moment the nineties are having in menswear. Stadium by Polo Ralph Lauren boasts twelve unique pieces, with the obvious show stopper being the Snow Beach pullover. This item became well known after Wu Tang Clan’s Raekwon sported it in their video, 'Can It Be All So Simple'. The capsule features lots of big spell outs, stripes and red,yellow,green and blue prints, on garms inspired by Olympic athletes’ uniforms back in 1992.

BURBERRY'S FEBRUARY 2018 CAPSULE

The LGBTQ+ community has found its spotlight in Burberry’s 2018 February capsule collection, an undeclared tribute to 90s fashion everyone had their eyes on. The collection manages to effectively reinvent the classic Burberry nova print style, giving it contemporary vibes by adding plenty of colour and not being afraid to go back to oversized logos, as we all know this is what 90s clothing was all about. A prime example of experimenting with untouched ground is the incorporation of rainbow colours and fur on the classic trench coat, something the brand had never done before. On the other hand, it also gives sports items a more urban touch and takes athleisure up a notch by using new fabrics and various embellishments on tracksuits and items traditionally reserved for plain materials and patterns. Check patterns are present on a variety of hats, coats, tops and bottoms and blend beautifully with the colour block clothes. It is clear that this capsule is far from average and the brand was not afraid to take risks when it came to designing these pieces.

NAUTICA 90S COLLECTION

Back in the 90s, Nautica was famous for their shirts, shorts and jackets in bright colours and naval style designs. This was quickly welcomed by urban culture and became highly successful, hence prompting Nautica to launch a modern day retake of their 90s items. The collection features rapper Lil Yachty and consists of men’s clothing and accessories. The main colours for the collection are bright yellows, blues and oranges, with a plenitude of graphic spell outs and colour blocks reminiscent of the 90s courtyard style.
